COPS uninstall

Hi,

I have perl version of cops_1.0.4 installed and configured. Is there any recommended procedure to do clean uninstall of cops, or just
rm -R /secure/cops will do it?

Hi Elena:

Did you try the swremove command?

The command works the same way that swinstall but this is use to remove software.

Hi Dario,

I guess you can swremove only the SW that has been swinstall(ed)(?)
At cops install I just did tar xvf cops.tar

If cops was installed as a SD (Software Distributor) package, then the proper way to remove it is via swremove. Do a "swlist -l product" and see if cops is listed. If you can't find it via swlist, then rm is the tool for you.

I guess I have to just remove the directory. I wonder if cops exists in depot format?

As Pete suggested, if you can't see COPS with the swlist -l command then use rm.

Elena,

I checked the Porting and Archive Center at http://hpux.cs.utah.edu/ and http://www.software.hp.com/ without finding any depot packages for Cops. Unless it exists at some more obscure site, I guess it's not available in depot format.
