patch for oracle 10gR2

Hello at all,

I need upgrade the oracle 10GrR2 from 10.2.0.1 towards 10.2.0.2 on HP-UX 11.11 PA RISC .
Which is the right patch and instruction to install it ?
Only from metalink is possible download it ?
Actually I haven't CIN so I cannot access to it.

Shalom,

1) The December 2006 bi-annaul patch set is sufficient.
2) #1 does not include certain required Oracle patches. Check metalink.oracle.com and get and install those patches or the install will fail.

Patches come from itrc.hp.com patch database. Patch list comes from Oracle metalink.

Hi,

The exact patch list u can get from the Oracle
patch 10.2.0.2 only.

And for ur info. 10.2.0.3 is already available
on metalink so why u not install 10.2.0.3
it can be installed on base version 10.2.0.1.

If u want HP-UX patch go to following URL

If u want Oracle Patch 10.2.0.2 then u require CSN No. since Oracle gives Base version for
free download but for patch/patchset and support
u require a metalink CSN account.

The latest available patch is 10.2.0.3 and can only be downloaded or requested from Metalink.

Oracle Database Family: Patchset

The instructions for installation is also available on the download page when you query the patch (5337014).

More up-to-date information is also available on metalink note 316900.1.

The Oracle Database Patch Set Notes, 10g Release 2 (10.2.0.3) Patch Set 2 for HP-UX PA-RISC (64-Bit) document provides:

- System requirements and information about how to install, reinstall or remove the patch set

- A list of all bugs fixed to date that are specific to Oracle Database for HP-UX PA-RISC (64-Bit)

- A list of known issues relating to Oracle Database on HP-UX PA-RISC (64-Bit)

The Operating System Patches required for HP-UX 11.11 are:

PHCO_33711: s700_800 11.11 libc cumulative patch

PHKL_33844: Patch to fix mmap hang issue

Note also that patch PHKL_34374 improves the reboot functionality in Oracle Clusterware. It helps in diagnosis after reboot is initiated by Oracle Clusterware. This patch is recommended for Oracle RAC environments. Single Instance environment will not be affected.
