topic Unicode Support in Operating System - HP-UX

Hi,

we currently setting up a project which will heavily rely on Unicode Support up to Version 5.0.

We are evaluation which Version of HPUX we will use. As far as I know full support for Unicode 5.0 is only available in 11 v3. Since this is a legacy system we might not be able to update to the newest version.

My question now is, what is the impact of a different level of unicode compatability? If I´m on a 11 v1/v2 System which only Supports Unicode Version 3.1, will I not be able to utilise code point(character) which were introduced in Version 5.0, assuming I would have the according font for it. If so is this just a matter of charmaps not including these or does this go deeper?

Thanks in advance
