    <description>Hi,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;I used restricted Sam which I enabled myself to have the function to manage user account. Unfortunately, even that it is not allowed to reactivate the deactivated root account. Fortunately, I reset the number of unsuccessful login retires to a larger number. The the root account was enabled.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Try it if you have the privilege...&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Crystal</description>

      <description>If you have the root password, then you can always logon to the main console, which on some A's is a webconsole.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;live free or die&lt;BR /&gt;harry</description>

      <description>As long has you don't have a blank /etc/securetty file on your box, Harry's recommendation will be your best bet. Your other option is single user mode, but you don't want to go there if you don't have to.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;GL,&lt;BR /&gt;C</description>
