Hi All,
I am trying certain server side external applications which have .rpm extension files Does this require redhat package manager for uncompressing? If yes where do I find the required utility for HP UX 11i.

Ankush,
the equivalent HPUX commands from RH rpm are
swinstall, swlist, swremove.

You can get info on each of them with the man command. Example "man swlist"

I'd doubt you will have limited luck with installing a RH application under HPUX.

Shalom,

It won't install under HP-UX.

You will need to get it repackaged or get a different version.
