      <description>Hi friends,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;I want to get a clear picture of hosts.equiv&lt;BR /&gt;and rhosts&lt;BR /&gt;i ahve put host name username in hosts.equiv&lt;BR /&gt;but still it is asking for password&lt;BR /&gt;its like this&lt;BR /&gt;HOST root&lt;BR /&gt;Is any thing else is required with which i can login in to the second system with root rights &lt;BR /&gt;with out knowing the passwd&lt;BR /&gt;because very frequently they will change the password&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;thanks in advance&lt;BR /&gt;avm</description>

      <description>Using hosts.equiv does not work with root. I think that it is a safety feature. If you want to have root capabilities on another server, you will have to add a .rhosts file for the root user of the other server.</description>
