Installing all the latest SAM/Trusted system patches would be a good idea as suggested by Ramesh. You can search in the patch site.

Now, just to re-check, try un-converting back to non-trusted and see if you can be able to bring up SAM. /usr/lbin/tsconvert -r. Then again convert it back to trusted using tsconvert. Try using the manual commands like modprpw on few accounts and see if they are working fine.

-Sri

Hi,

Check the SAM patch you have on your system "/usr/sbin/swlist -l product |grep -i SAM"

I have seen similar issues with some of the older patches. The latest SAM patch is PHCO_22268

-HTH
Ramesh

Hi,

Patch PHCO_22268 should fix your problem as
already suggested. Just remember when using
Sridhar's suggestion that each time you
un-convert and re-convert again all user
passwords in the password database will be
reset and users will have to change their passwords again. This could get quite annoying to users if it is done all the time. A Sys Admin in my team did this once and we nearly had a mutiny on our hands.

HTH
-Michael

I have seen the user database getting corrupted sometimes during the conversion. If so, it will be known during the unconversion. And the corresponding SAM action modules may be confused in this situation. Yes it will be annoying to the users but sometimes we need to be able to convince them when we encounter problems that give no clue until we fix it.

-Sri
