Secure off

Hi.
I'm really a newbe when it comes to hp-ux, using linux, irix, aix.
Now I have got 3 715/100XC under my desk and I'we done something stupid
with one of them.

I set the "secure on" during boot (just testing) and now I want to turn it off.
How do I do that?
I have root access so I guess this is possible or what?

I am asuming that you did secure on at "IPL" prompt.. you may set secure off by typing "secure off".

Once you've turned secure on' and booted th machine, turning it off isn't easy (as it's to stop someone doing it).

Although I know how to do this, it's really something your local HP-UX response center should be answering and not the in a forum.

This is the procedure to 'secure off' your 700. As you can see, it's not that easy. If you don't feel comfortable with it, first contact your responce center ...

* Shut the system down
* Disconnect the system from LAN
* Disable the HDD, fe. by pulling the power cable.
* Reboot. Since there is no boot device, you can then get into boot admin mode (I think you have to hit escape first) and turn secure off.
* Shut the system down again
* Connect the disk and the LAN again and reboot.
