    <description>Hi Bassey,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;You should use:&lt;BR /&gt;# xhost + server_name&lt;BR /&gt;# remsh server_name /usr/bin/x11/xterm -display 134.11.238.213:0.0&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Another possibility would be to use xon, like in:&lt;BR /&gt;alias myhost='xon myhost /usr/bin/X11/dtterm -name myhost -ls'&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;This will open a 'dtterm' window (replace with xterm if you want) and properly set the DISPLAY variable in that new window.&lt;BR /&gt;Nevertheless, make sure your DISPLAY variable is set properly before the call to 'xon'&lt;BR /&gt;The 'xhost +' is handled automatically.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Best regards,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Dan&lt;BR /&gt;</description>

      <description>iam trying to set up xterm on my pc, i do &lt;BR /&gt;not intend to connect thru exceed, what xterm&lt;BR /&gt;server should i connect to.i ran this command:&lt;BR /&gt;# remsh &amp;lt; servername&amp;gt; /usr/bin/x11/xterm -display &amp;lt; :0.134.11.238.213&lt;BR /&gt;Error message reads "unknown host".&lt;BR /&gt;Any idea will help.&lt;BR /&gt;thanks.</description>
