      <description>Yes, it does both of these. BUT don't use it unless you have &amp;gt; 20 systems to administer with it. Otherwise it is more pain that gain. We ran NIS+ on four Sun servers as a trial for a year. It was a complete nightmare (had to back NIS+ out and revert to files three times to fix problems) Incidentally I understand that although Sun wrote NIS+, they don't actually use it themselves.... Draw your own conclusions.&lt;BR /&gt;</description>
