Hi there --

I am running HP-UX 11.00 on a Visualize C3700 system that also has the Ximian Gnome 1.4 desktop installed on it.

I noticed that whenever I click on the Netscape toolbar icon, the browser does not start. Has anyone seen this, and know what the fix is? Thanks.

Andrew,
did this ever work ? If so, what has changed since then ?

But most likely:
http://docs.hp.com/en/GNOME/faq.html#d0e698

Please also read:
http://forums1.itrc.hp.com/service/forums/helptips.do?#33 on how to reward any useful answers given to your questions.

This is my first time trying it, so I am not sure if it ever did work. I went to the /opt/netscape directory, and when I tried to run the netscape binary, I got the following error:

/usr/lib/dld.sl: Unresolved symbol: ?XmMsgPanedW_0002 (data) from ./netscape
Abort

Any ideas?

Shalom,

It almost never hurts to install a bi-annual patch set to deal with these issues. The last one was May or March of 2004 I believe.

SEP
