    <description>The man page for getconf offers several other bits of information about your opsystem and machine regarding 32/64 bits:&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;getconf KERNEL_BITS&lt;BR /&gt;getconf MACHINE_MODEL&lt;BR /&gt;getconf HW_CPU_SUPP_BITS&lt;BR /&gt;getconf HW_32_64_CAPABLE&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Note that getconf is an emerging tool so earlier versions (like 10.20) don't have all the options found at 11i.&lt;BR /&gt;</description>
