    <description>Hi &lt;BR /&gt;        We have two HP databse server with HP-UX 11.11 installed on it. A internal application is running on our department and whole database server is stored on it. Oracle 10g is installed on it.&lt;BR /&gt;         Veritas cluster solution is installed on it. Sometime Database is down automatically. Wat can be the problem and wat can be solution for it?</description>

      <description>Shalom,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Check the oracle alert logs for problems. There will be an error message that corresponds with downtime and it can be helpful in finding the problem.       <description>hi,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;The alert.log should give you the exact times when the database was shutdown. If you find a similarity between the downtime periods then it must be schedule script that is performing the shutdown. Otherwise, an unsual condition is causing the instance to crash.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;You will need to also investigate into any system errors as well. Check you /var/adm/syslog/syslog.log&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;hope this helps too!&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;kind regards&lt;BR /&gt;yogeeraj</description>
