Dear All,

We modified the icons for all the users on HP UX 11.00 server, with "dtappintegrate -s" command and after we logged in again, the dtwm didn't run and we couldn't see the main panel and didn't have the window frames as well. The booting process is really long.

Please help solving this problem, because this is a business critical server.

Thanks, for all of Your replies!
Tamas

We found this:

libtt[6423]: ttdt_Xt_input_handler(): tttk_message_receive(): TT_ERR_NOMP^INo ttsession process is running, probably because tt_open() has not been called yet. If this code is returned from tt_open() it means ttsession could not be started, which generally means ToolTalk is not installed on this system.

Does it help?
T

The last message you've given is from CDE ToolTalk. If you suspect this as the cause of the problem, then you can re-install ToolTalk on the server:
Download latest version from HP site
Download latest patch- PHSS_26489
Kill the current ttdbserver process
Install patch and software
Retstart inetd (inetd -c)
Restart ttdbserver

rgds,

Tamas,

Can you review the log /tmp/dtappint.log created by the command you ran? Just to confirm that it ran successfully.

Hai

Thanks Hai, dtappint.log was a brilliant idea.
So, we removed the simlinks which were in this log from /etc/dt/appconfing/icons/C. And now the server is up and running again perfectly!
Thanks for all of You!
Regards: Tamas
