    <description>If the daemon keeps respawning, then it may be in the /etc/inittab. If it is, &lt;BR /&gt;then change "respawn" to "off", save it, and then run the command "init q" to &lt;BR /&gt;reread the inittab file. Then when you kill it, it won't respawn.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Don't forget to change it back when you're done.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;If all else fails, boot into single-user mode and it won't even be mounted.</description>

      <description>I'm trying to unmount a filesystem (/opt), but I cannot unmount the thing &lt;BR /&gt;because the sharedprint process will not remain stopped. I can kill the process &lt;BR /&gt;but another is immediately kicked off.  Cannot locate any info. on stopping the &lt;BR /&gt;daemons/process permanently, What am I missing?&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Thanks,&lt;BR /&gt;Erik</description>
