Hi,

You could use mstm or it's X-variant xstm.

Select "system ()" and select/run "Information -> Run" from the Tools menu.
This will create a list of hardware present in your system. From the FRU
description you will be able to identify the type/size of your memory modules.

Does anyone know how to determine the exact amount of memory modules within a
HP-UX based machine and there size.

E.g Identifying whether 2GB in a machine is made up of 4x512MB modules or
8x256MB modules.

I have heard of a utility called sysdiag, though I've never used it and it
doesn't seem to be present on any of the boxes I've used.

Thanks, Paul

If you are able to reboot the machine, there is another way to see exactly what
is installed.

Break the boot sequence, and at the prompt, enter IN to get the information
menu, then enter ME for memory information. That will display what size memory
is installed in which slot.

Good Luck!
