I'm having some problems with an automounted NFS.
All attempts to cd into or ls on the NFS hang, and I get the following error
message in the syslog....
Mar 23 13:18:59 system01 vmunix: NFS server (pid1206@/systems) not responding
still trying
I can't unmount it, nor mount it. From the mount point, I can ls, but not ls
-l.
I can also mount the same NFS successfully to another mount point.
ls -l from / also hangs.
This is an HA system, and I don't want to have to reboot, is there a way I can
free things up?
I tried a kill -1 on the automounter process, to no avail.
I know the man page says don't try SIGKILL but I'm tempted! Is there any way I
can check what is
automounted successfully?
Appreciate any ideas at all!!

Hi Gary!

In SAM when you add the remote file system on the client, choose option
'direct' in the Automounter Map Type field. That should mount your files
whenever accessed.
