    <description>I set the autologoff by setting "export TMOUT=60" in .profile file.If the user &lt;BR /&gt;is login into the Unix then to Oracle Application,the autologoff is not &lt;BR /&gt;working.Even after a minute without any interaction with shell the user is &lt;BR /&gt;still in the system.When I do "finger -i | grep username " ,I can see the user &lt;BR /&gt;is &lt;BR /&gt;idle passed the TMOUT time.(In this case 60 second).&lt;BR /&gt;Any idea how to solve this problem.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Regards&lt;BR /&gt;Arman</description>

      <description>Setting TMOUT only affects the shell itself.  Other applications, like Oracle, &lt;BR /&gt;are free to examine TMOUT and also respect it, but few applications do.</description>
