Ami,

Based on the product specifications on HP's website, The 'EG' card isn't even availiable on J5000, J6000, or C3600's.

See: http://www.hp.com/visualize/products/unix/index.html

If somehow you actually have a EG card, it wasn't on purpose. I suggest opening case and read part number off of card and verify with HP what you have.

Hope this helps.

hi!
we recently bought a j5000 work station
we discovered later that we got a
visualize eg graphic card in which the
max color depth is 8 bit, it's spec is very low level.
we ordered a new c3600 and i checked
with my local hp dealer and it ships with the
same graphic card.
first is that true about the eg card ?
second shouldn't the c3600 ship with
the fxX cards as a default ? if not what fxX
should i buy???
Thanks
