      <description>Hi,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;On a HP/UX 11.00 machine, I want to start xntpd. When I do ntpq -p I get the following output:&lt;BR /&gt;ntpq: read: Can't assign requested address&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;When I do a ping to the destination, I got a reply.&lt;BR /&gt;(ntpq version 3.5f: Fri Dec 10 18:29:01 GMT 1999 PHNE_19711eply.)&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Anyone??</description>

      <description>i've been asking sort of the same thing on here too&lt;BR /&gt;here is what i got to work&lt;BR /&gt;edit you ntp.conf&lt;BR /&gt;start ntp&lt;BR /&gt;/sbin/init.d/xntpd start&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;the messages sound like it isnt started&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;also i think starting it with sam is not the same as starting it manualy</description>
