Hi,

i agree with John, there is no kernel parameter for pv timeout value.
You have to use pvchange for all your disks.

Regards

Hi everybody!

Can anybody tell me how I can change the pvtimeout pemanently for all disks
to another setting other than default. The dafault is 30000mS and I need to set it to
180000 mS. I know how to do it with pvchange, but I want to set it as system-default.
Is there a kernel-parameter, or something like that?

Thanks for your help

Regards,

Stefano

Hi Stefano,

I believe that pvchange is all that you have to do. The timeout value is held on the disk so having pvchange'd all the disks then the job is done.

Regards,
John
