make_recovery

I'm trying to run make_recovery on a server we've just rented. After further investigation, the routine is not installed on the box, where can I get hold of it ? I'm guessing it may be on the apps CD for HPUX 11i ?? All help rewarded.

The ignite-ux is usually not included in the fresh os install of the server. You still have to install it from one of the 5 application cds or you could download it from software.hp.com since its free. (I forgot which cd its is located among the 5).

you can get the latest versio of ignite-ux from

http://software.hp.com/products/IUX/download.html

you can use make_tape_recovery which is a replacement for make_recovery

# /opt/ignite/bin/make_tape_recovery -a /dev/rmt/?mn -I -v -x inc_entire=vg00
