mey system with HP-UX 10.20, can I install any SW
from APC to shutdown the system bevore the SW crash. I wont to intsall Power Choot from APC.

How can help me.
Is there any other SW to install?

Shalom,

To enable a UPS built by APC to shut down an HP-9000 system, you have two options:

1) Software provided by APC
2) Let the battery run out and hard crash the system.

Note the OS does have built in the ability to detect signals from a UPS. As to whether they will do anything that matter must be tested by the systems administrator.

According to the "features" page of APC PowerChute Network Shutdown, the following versions of HP-UX are supported:

HP-UX 10.20, 11i, 11i v2, 11i v2 (Itanium 2)

As no download is available, you will have to contact APC for the software.
