Hi,

I know that general support will only continue to 31st December 2006, but what about security patches ? Will they be back-ported from 11i ?

Unfortunately, due to a number of constraints we are unable to upgrade from 11.00.

Generally the answer is no they will not, unless it is a SERIOUS issue.

There will likely not be any backport of security features from 11i to 11.00. Occasionally (like 10.20 and earlier), serious issues with specific services will be addressed, but added security features found in 11i and later will likely never be ported. If legacy constraints prevent migration, you might have to create an intelligent DMZ around these older systems to protect them.
