I dont think there is enough information/specifics in the above. Why would you want to run a [network] routing emulator on your system? What do you want to achieve...

However, taking a flyer here, I'm guessing you want to test things on your system (specifically network) you can use netperf http://hpux.connect.org.uk/ http://hpux.connect.org.uk/hppd/hpux/Networking/Admin/netperf-1.7.1/
This can generate packes an flood the network interface (if you wish) or test the effective bandwidth between two HP-UX systems.

Or do you want to analyse the netweork activity (man nettl, netfmt, netstat, glance) or search the forums for them.

There are other toold to either "load" or "measure" system activity (e.g diskbench for the disks).

Regards

Tim

Hi all

Tim I think Megha wants to learn something about HP-UX and looking for simulator for that

Cisco simulators run in Windows and they emulates Cisco router's properties, commands etc.; they can generate simple networks in the software, and the student try to solve this problems

Best Regards
Hello Raju,
there is no simulator that I know of.
Every site should have a play pen box . Persuade your manger to get a small remarketed system like the 3410 with some spare hot plugabble disks. That way you can try different builds upgrades and connfigurations without having to disturb your developers .
good luck
Mike
