Migration boot path and data vg

Hi,

I am migrating some servers IA 64 standalone + MC/SG to a new DC. All these servers do not have internal disk as they all boot from FC through a centralized storage.

During the migration, the data will be synchonize to a remote site with a similar storage hardware. Once we move the servers to there we will need to change the boot path. I would like to know the procedure.

I have done some procedure in the attachment.

Shalom,

Best practice is to have a local disk in Integrity/HP-9000 servers so you have something to boot off of in an emergency to figure out what is wrong.

This setup is running so well as the storage is a symmetrix box. There won't be any change according to customer

I forgot to mention the servers model involve include
HP rp3440
HP Integrity rx4640

Your procedure seems to be good for the migration, if you consider the physical disk device name between the two storage
you have to keep the information of the dev name and you need to confirm the device name on the remote storage for OS disk.
