    <description>As far as I know, NONE of the configurable kernel parameters can be changed without requiring a rebuild of the kernel and a reboot of the machine.  &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Unfortunately HP hasn't gotten to the point of using the Dynamically Loadable Kernel Modules yet.  When those come along, you might have a chance at being able to change a parameter and have it take effect with just a rebuild of that particular DLKM and no reboot.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;As it stands now though, you have to rebuild the kernel and reboot the machine.</description>
