Not able to login to OB for taking regular backup with the OB username which has been created with reference to the system username. The OB user is under Operator group. Whenever we try to login it gives the following error:

OmniBack ll Main

Your user name should be added to the OBll user group.
(check with your HP OBll administrator).

We have tried by deleting the user name from OBll list and readding it. The same error came when we tried to login.

Also we tried by deleting and readding the user name from the system itself. Again the same error is continuing.

Help us in this regard.

Thanks.

Check the following:

Check if the user is added to the UserList file
in /etc/opt/omni/users.

Also check if you add another user, known in the password file, try to login?

If this doesn't work, check if the hostname resolving is oke.
The exact name as known in Omniback should be returned when performing a nslookup on hostname and ip-address.

Good Luck
