Happy New Year for all forum users and administators!

As there is no such Y(2K+1) bug, I wish that all your cellphones and pagers will remain quiet for the turn of the century/millenium and that you'll all be able to enjoy that evening with your family/friends.

Actually there is a 2001 bug related to the leap year thing, but most places ran tests on this aspect also. The real proof of the pudding will be when the annual reports come out in a few weeks. In a way I sort of miss the crisis mode evolution that took place last year. Nice to sit and watch as everything went well and have some level of satisfaction. This year things are far too quiet which usually gives me reason for concern. But I will be home this year with no pager and it looks like we are going to have a blizzard here in the northeast US; that's certainly a good reason for my phone to die too. Have a happy...

One of my friends, sysadm on non-HP platforms (HAL ???), recently applied a mega-bundle patch called.... HP-UX !!

Since then, he's a happy camper ;-)

I've been on holiday this week and it is amazing how few pages you get when you leave the pager on the dresser and ignore it all week! ;)
