      <description>I am trying to install a new software on Unix 11.23, I am getting an error which is attached in this one. the software is data protector IS. I just run the script ./omnisetup.sh -IS . and It should work I tried it on two different systems with the same problem.</description>

      <description>OK, I am using /etc/hosts for name resolution, My unix system has 2 network cards thus 2 IP addresses and i edited my /etc/hosts file as:&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;127.0.0.1 localhost loopback&lt;BR /&gt;x.x.x.x  hostname&lt;BR /&gt;x.x.x.x1 hostname&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;where the x.x.x.x is my first IP and the second one is my 2nd IP. &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;now i am getting the errors attached.&lt;BR /&gt;</description>

      <description>Are your addresses for&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;x.x.x.x hostname&lt;BR /&gt;x.x.x.x1 hostname&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;in the same subnet?&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Try to change it like this:&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;x.x.x.x hostname&lt;BR /&gt;y.y.y.y another_alias_name&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Then check the name resolution:&lt;BR /&gt;hostname&lt;BR /&gt;nslookup &lt;RESULT_FROM_HOSTNAME&gt;&lt;/RESULT_FROM_HOSTNAME&gt;</description>
