Hi ,

I'm sending a mail from hpux box to contact in exchange well , but when i replay i get :

"501 Sender domain must exist"

Hi,
have you configured the /etc/mail/sendmail.cf file?

Change the line:
#Dj$w.Foo.COM
to
Dj$w.

Hi:

You may also need to configure the "smart relay" macro in '/etc/mail/sendmail.cf' like:

DSexchange.abc.com

...where "exchange" is the smart relay name. This relays all non-local mail to the relay host via SMTP.

Then when you do something like:

# mailx -s "Test Message" chapaya@abc.com < /dev/null

What is the sendmail and SO version?

There is a patch for 11.11 SO and 8.9.3 sendmail (PHNE_28810)
