informix not loging

hi everyone i requied help .
I hv informix 7.0 that on one d class server .I took the backup of all file sysytem and restored on same d class server . but when i was going to login as informix then it flushed out and giving
error message Bus errot .it will come on previous prompt . pls give solution

why did you do a backup and restore?
Do you get a login prompt for informix?
What do you mean by 'flushed out'?
What is the exact error message?

HI,

I think when you restore your backup, permission arent the same.

its depend what you make your backup for preserve permissions file.

I didn't get login prompt .I was making anther backup server . then this error was coming .su -c informix
passwd :*******

then it didn't go its informix promt
pls give the way

Hi,

If you want to login as user informix, the format is
su - informix
and not
su - c informix

Secondly, clean up password field for informix user and check whether its home directory exists and that .profile .kshrc (for sh/ksh) or .login and .cshrc (for csh) files are ok.

the problem is solved permisitions was not proper
