      <description>James is correct.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Also v$version will tell you if it is 64-bit, but the 32-bit version does not say "32-bit"&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;SQL&amp;gt; select * from v$version;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;BANNER&lt;BR /&gt;----------------------------------------------------------------&lt;BR /&gt;Oracle9i Enterprise Edition Release 9.0.1.4.0 - 64bit Production&lt;BR /&gt;PL/SQL Release 9.0.1.4.0 - Production&lt;BR /&gt;CORE    9.0.1.2.0       Production&lt;BR /&gt;TNS for HPUX: Version 9.0.1.4.0 - Production&lt;BR /&gt;NLSRTL Version 9.0.1.4.0 - Production&lt;BR /&gt;</description>
