    <description>1.  You are logged in as the DB binaries owner, and you are in the DBA group specified when you did the installation (most likely, DBA).  Try:&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;sqlplus "/ as sysdba"&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Otherwise, you might have to recreate the password file, although this should always get you in.  &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Thanks,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Brian</description>

      <description>Hi, there:&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Oracle 9.2.0 can not be connected. Password had been recreated once. It worked for 1 day and when the database hang, I reboot the system. Found that could not connect the database. &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Any ideas will be welcome!&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Thanks</description>

      <description>connect internal was deprecated in this release.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;sqlplus "/ as sysdba"&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Will always get the oracle user in with normal priviledges.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;SEP</description>

      <description>Thank you!&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;I think I set the wrong INSTANCE_ID and recreate the wrong passwd file.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;now connected.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;</description>
