local HP printer setup

All,

I am trying to configure a printing on a host application to print to a locally connected HP laser jet.

HPUX 10.20
Progress 8.2c
QAD 8.6d

Except, when I try to print to the local printer, the first line displays some of the control characters.

Here is my setup.

I'm wondering if the system is writing to your printer in "cooked" mode.

Use "slp -k >/dev/lp1" to set to raw mode.

Disregard previous post.

I see from your configuration you are using forward slashes (/) in front of the codes. I am not familiar with the application you are using, but typically back slash (\) is used to prefix ascii codes.
