      <description>anyone know where I can get my hands on JDK 1.4.*  ?&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;in all my searches it always leads me back to SDK, and our DBA's dont want that, they are insistant on getting JDK 1.4.1.05 or higher.&lt;BR /&gt;</description>

      <description>I should add, since I wasn't sure which platform you needed. Theres a link on the right for Itanium and PA-RISC.  Once you click on either of those.  It shows you the different JRE's and SDKS.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;I didn't mean to hit submit so early&lt;BR /&gt;</description>

      <description>I beleive there is nothing like JDK 1.4 in business.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Only available is SDK in HP site and J2SE, J2EE on Sun.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;I think SDK should work for you .&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Sunil</description>

      <description>Make sure their env is pointing to the right java.  Java seems to be spewed all over some servers.  &lt;BR /&gt;#which java&lt;BR /&gt;#java -version&lt;BR /&gt;They may be pointed to the wrong (older) version still.&lt;BR /&gt;</description>

      <description>Make sure that Oracle can handle Java 1.4.2.whatever.  We have one application here that can't handle Java 1.4.  We have to use 1.3.1 with it.</description>

      <description>Here is the latest I got back from the DBAs based on what was said in this thread:&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;I ran across some info about seeing what version was installed.  I ran the command and it worked fine for the 1.3, but when I tried to use the command against 1.4 it failed.  Maybe the command is not valid against the 1.4 version or maybe the 1.4 did not install correctly.
