      <description>vsftpd uses login 'nobody' to run unprivileged bits of itself. By default, user 'nobody' has a GID of -2, which is probably making setgid() fail.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Either change GID of user 'nobody' or modify vsftpd.conf setting 'nopriv_user' from 'nobody' to another unprivileged account.</description>

      <description>Shalom Matheiu,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;ftpd servers know nothing but numeric user id's.  They get response based on the permissions of the user that is connecting.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;If you are user sprotter at log in, the ftpd server sees you only by your numeric id on the host system.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;So, if you have vsftpd configured to say disallow root ftp access, which is a really great security idea then these kind of results should be expected.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;SEP</description>

      <description>thanks&lt;BR /&gt;that's it !!! uid/gid of nobody/nogroup where on -2&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;I change them and now it starts&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Mathieu</description>
