hi guys,

1)just would like to know if k100 can support 11i ver1.
2)Just say i install 11i ver1 on a RX2600 and now im asked to upgrade it to ver2.Can the ver2 be downloaded from the HP website for free?

Hi,

1. Yes , HP-UX 11.11 is supported on K100

2. NO . HP-UX 11v2 is not available for free download. Contact local HP Sales person.

2) 11i Ver. 1 (11.11) is NOT support on the Itanium machines, which your rx2600 is. The only version supported on those machines currently is 11i Ver. 2 (11.23).

hi,

1) yes, Kx00 servers are supported for 32-bit 11i v1, which means K100 is supported.

however in dec 2004 installation and upgrade guide, Kx00 or K100 not mentioned in supported or un-supported:

2) 11i v2 is supported on rx26x0 servers. if u already own 11i v1 and have a software support agreement, u may like to give HP a call for a CD copy.

one last question..how about the 180 days trial version? can i download this and install in my rx 2600 until i get my 11i v2 from hp and install it in my machine?

HP-UX 11.11 or 11iV1 is not supported on any rx series of systems, they are Itanium and require 11.23 or 11iV2

What 180 days trial version?
There is no downloadable set for any HP-UX OS version.
You need to get it from your HP Sales or Support office
