Install Bundle

Hi,

My server: rp5470
O.S.: HP-UX 11.11

I want to install:
- HP-UX 11i Quality Pack (GOLDQPK11i), Dec
2004 or later

I have installed:
- BUNDLE11i -> B.11.11.0306. Required Patch Bundle for HP-UX 11i, June 2003

How can i upgrade the bundle???

Hi:

There is a much newer Support Plus bundle available (September 2005). I'd download (or order) it via Support Manager (to which there is also a link on the url below).

Standard patch bundles are cumulative and the lastest set will offer all of an earlier sets patches plus more.

Hi

The practice we follow is to load the patch bundle which atleast 6 months old.

Like James mentioned you can download the latest patch bundle or HP also ships CD's.

The patch bundles normally will have all the patches which was there on the previous bundle and will have more and some of the patches in older version would have been replaced by the latest version.

All you need to do is obtain a copy of the new Quality Pack you want (see above) and swinstall it.

Don't mess the one you have installed, leave it there.

The new bundle will supercede the patches in the previous bundle.

Once loaded,your system will have references to both bundles (using swlist).
