Oracle 7 running on HP-UX 11

I have an old legacy system running with Oracle version 7 database currently on HP-UX 10.20 !!

Is it possible to run Oracle 7 on HP-UX 11.0 ?

Enterprise Edition also shipped when the Workgroup Server 7.3.4 is ordered.
Existing patch sets for 32-bit:
7.3.4.2,
7.3.4.3,
7.3.4.4,
7.3.4.5

Desupported, but it will run an a 11.0.

Oracle 7.3.4 is not supported anymore (unless you have extended maintenance support).

Problem will be to have CDs for 7.3.4 under 11.00... but I believe I have that :) Ask if you want it. (I also believe I still have patch 7.3.4.5 wich may be the last one).

Be aware though that even if you're running 7.3.4 on 10.20, that installation will NOT run on HP-UX 11.00.

You'll have to install the Oracle 7.3.4 version built for HP-UX 11.

Hi Mark,

Would you have the option to migrate to a supported Oracle version (9i as 8i support ends this December 31) ?
or is this just a no option and/or dying application ?

what is the exact release of Oracle 7 that you are using?

As others have said, it is no longer supported.
An upgrade would still be most appropriate.

I recently did some tests with something similar and it did show some positive results...

Sure could use that old Oracle 7.3.4 media on HPUX 10.20. Anyway to get a copy?
