armdiscover is looking for database and does not get one. Restore old dirs to alternate location. Install new version and copy only old files to new location.

This should get you working. Also is host name resolution OK?? nslookup "host_name" and nslookup "host_ip_address"

Your database for the disk array is kept in /var/opt/sanmgr/commandview/server/data/ directory and since it doesnt exist or there is no proper DeviceDBFile file it cant display the data.

Best is to reconstruct the database file using armrecover command
armrecover array-id
whereas array-id you can get from
armdsp -i <HOSTNAME> command the alias is your array id
Have a look at the man pages for more info

Cheers
Rajeev</HOSTNAME>

Ok, so I mounted a CDROM drive, that should have nothing to do with it? I wasn't installing from the CD?
