root password change

Hi everyone,

If I want to change the root password (SAM), do I have to change this in also in other components.

( I'm comparing with Windows where one might change service passwords as well after change an account password ).

hi,

you can change the root password at commandline aswell

#passwd root

this will prompt the change and confirmation.

in hpux you shouldnt need to anything else than change the root password.

Franky,

just an advice,when you want to change root
pwd start more than 1 telnet session by root
for to avoid any mistyping password
