Cannot print to printronix printer.

I am unable to print to a Printronix P6080L ser.C309933 through an HP Jet Direct 500EX J3265A. This printer was on an Extended Systems print server and we have tried to put it on this jet direct. We have tried to print a configuration page from the Jet Direct box but we get nothing(yes it is connected to port-1) I have set this ip and name in the /etc/hosts and did the setup in jetadmin.. Nothing works !!!

And just one last thought, I have in the past used a Lantronix external server to make a variety of printers/platforms adaptable...just a thought in case you were looking for more options.
