It shouldn't be a problem having a Sybase and Oracle database on the same machine. Each will have its own listener and will be listening on a different TCP port, so there shouldn't be any change of a oracle request going to the sybase database or vice-versa.

You should be OK.

Hi,

I have a D320 which is housing a very small Sybase database that is used very rarely. I have another application that I need to find a new home for. This second application is very small and accessed rarely, but uses an Oracle database. Has anyone ever had a Sybase and Oracle instance running on the same server?
