      <description>i install a Fibre Channel card a3404a in a K370 unix system hpux-11.0.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;but when i check the Fibre Channel with command &lt;BR /&gt;/opt/fcms/bin/fcmsutil /dev/fcms0&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;                   Local N_Port_ID is = 0x000000&lt;BR /&gt;          N_Port Node World Wide Name = 0x10000060B0F982E8&lt;BR /&gt;          N_Port Port World Wide Name = 0x10000060B0F982E8&lt;BR /&gt;                             Topology = UNKNOWN&lt;BR /&gt;                                Speed = 1062500000 (bps)&lt;BR /&gt;                          HPA of card = 0xFFB08000&lt;BR /&gt;                          EIM of card = 0xFFFA000A&lt;BR /&gt;                         Driver state = OFFLINE&lt;BR /&gt;               Number of EDB's in use = 0&lt;BR /&gt;               Number of OIB's in use = 0&lt;BR /&gt;  Number of Active Outbound Exchanges = 0&lt;BR /&gt;      Number of Active Login Sessions = 0&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;What i need to do, to put the car ONLINE an topology IN_LOOP.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;IÂ´ve configured the drivers fcT1_fcp fcT1_cntl &lt;BR /&gt;fcT1 fcp  and the Kernel Parameter num_tachyon_adapters is set to 5 but i only have 1 Fchannel card.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;the ioscan show me the card&lt;BR /&gt;fc          0  10/8         fcT1        CLAIMED   INTERFACE HP Fibre Channel Mas&lt;BR /&gt;s Storage Adapter&lt;BR /&gt;lan         0  10/8.5       fcT1_cntl   CLAIMED   INTERFACE HP Fibre Channel Mas&lt;BR /&gt;s Storage Cntl&lt;BR /&gt;                           /dev/fcms0&lt;BR /&gt;fcp         0  10/8.8       fcp         CLAIMED   INTERFACE FCP Protocol Adapter&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;iÂ´ve already check the light in Fibre Channel Card and itÂ´s ok. It is receiving and transmit but i still not can see the disk array.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;i will appreciate your help.&lt;BR /&gt;Thanks so</description>

      <description>I believe you need to do:&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;fcmsutil fcms0 reset&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;It may need a kick in the pants to get going...&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Caution: this is a destructive command so be sure you dont have anything connected along this FC&lt;BR /&gt;</description>

      <description>You need to assign disk to the card by its world wide name.  That should bring it online.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;SEP</description>

      <description>Sorry forgot one more thing. Is this direct connected or thru a switch...&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;IF direct connected this should fix it. IF it is thru a switch, I would telnet to the switch and make sure the port it is plugged into is ON or you may try another port.</description>

      <description>when i reset de FC the Driver STATE is DEAD.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;How can i configure the fc interface to IN_LOOP topology and the Worl Wide Name?&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;The FC is direct connected to the Disk Array XP256.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Thanks?</description>

      <description>3404 is an HSC card that only supports 1 Gb FC-AL or direct connect . I see you have all the drivees there .&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;I also see you have a PCI tachyon TL/TS driver installed . Since this one only supports switched fabric , I would start by removing this driver and see ehat happens .&lt;BR /&gt;May be the two drivers are conflicting .</description>
