I am running HP-UX 11.0 and Oracle 8.1.6.3.
I am getting ORA-07445: exception encountered: core dump [10] [4286558904] [240] [0] [] [] errors in my alert log. Oracle is suggesting that I might have a physical memory problem. I disagree with Oracle as I do not see any signs on my HP that indicated a physical memory problem. Has anyone encountered this error before? Any suggestions? I am attaching a portion of the trace file. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Damon

We think that the errors are being caused by sql that is using database links between our two different instances.

I dont seen any cases of that Oracle error with 8.1.6.3 on HP in our HP database.

One other resource that you might want to check out is http://www.orafaq.net/ which has had some archived discussions on this error on their message board.

Best regards,

Kent M.
