Mount point size limit

Hello,
First of all, I am an Oracle DBA not a UNIX admin. On HPUX 11 the UNIX admin has told me that 128gb is the largest size a mount point can be. Is this correct?

If HP-UX 11.0 this is correct. 11.11 and higher support larger filesystem (at least 1TB).

Hi Tom:

Assuming that you are using VxFS (JRF) filesystems, then depending on the OS version and the Veritas JFS version, you may be able to create a filesystem as large as 2TB. See Table-2 in this document:

hello,

128GB was the maximum limit before. Now depend up on the OS vserion, your file system version, FS type and patch level, the maximum supported FS size varies. In 11.00 it's 1TB and in 11i (11.11), it's 2TB.

Check the documents at www.docs.hp.com for different versions.
