Print queue not clearing up

Print queue spools up and is not clearing. need to re-build the print queue to make it work for the Server 9000/800 with B.11.11 U

Before you rebuild the print queue, check what is causing it to get spooled up. Are your printers OK, online? Without any problems-toner, paper jam etc.

what does log file say???-/var/adm/lp/log
Also what does mailq -d -v say?

This is the problem with most of the printers defined on the server, seems like some patching need to done.. Please, can u suggest any patch fix for this

Logs says this was due to time out, increased the idle time out period from 60 to 270 secs.No luck

How printers have been configured?? Are they remote/network/jetdirect printers??

If JetDirect, then what does following say??
hpnpadmin -v "print_queue"
Also
lp -d"print" -odebug /tmp/log "file_name"

Does it give any information?

These printers are jet-direct printers. The logs are not showing any errors

Hi,

Did you try to stop and restart the spooler (you can do this easy with SAM->Printer and Plotter->LP Spooler->Print Requests->Actions->Stop Print Spooler...->Actions->Start Print Spooler...)?

Did you check througly if hpnpadmi -v "print_queue" did not report any problem??

Also you can directly print and check.

hpnpf -x "print_queue" -s /tmp/debug.log -N "some_asci_file"

Check log file.
