    <description>Go to metalink.oracle.com&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;2.login into metalink&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;3.click patches on the left side&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Then,"simple search"&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;search by ---&amp;gt;product/family&lt;BR /&gt;click on the torch like icon--view all--&amp;gt;Oracle database family&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Release--&amp;gt;8.1.7&lt;BR /&gt;Patch type---&amp;gt;patch set/Minipack&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;select the OS type--&amp;gt;64 bit&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Then from the list you can get &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Oracle Database Family: Patchset&lt;BR /&gt;8.1.7.4 PATCH SET FOR ORACLE DATA SERVER&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Quote/&lt;BR /&gt;"Note:If you are running 32 bit Oracle on 64 bit OS then choose download of 32 bit platform"&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;To check whether oracle is 32 bit or 64 bit&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Just do a &lt;BR /&gt;svrmgrl&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;That should give you 64 bit or 32 bit</description>

      <description>Hi,&lt;BR /&gt;I'm newer to oracle.&lt;BR /&gt;I need to upgrade oracle 8.1.7.0.0 to oracle&lt;BR /&gt;8.1.7.4.0&lt;BR /&gt;Where can I download this patch?&lt;BR /&gt;I have a HP-UX 11.11 system.&lt;BR /&gt;I have a metalink account&lt;BR /&gt;Please help me,&lt;BR /&gt;thanks Andrea</description>

      <description>As you have support, &lt;A href="http://metalink.oracle.com." target="_blank"&gt;http://metalink.oracle.com.&lt;/A&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;1. Click on the Patches button. &lt;BR /&gt;2. Click on the "New Metalink Patch Search". &lt;BR /&gt;If you are not on the "Simple Search" screen, click on the "Simple Search" button. &lt;BR /&gt;3. Input the bug number on the "Search by Patch Number" box. ( here u can select by "product " and say in box "RDBMS server "&lt;BR /&gt;4. Click Go. &lt;BR /&gt;5. Select the patch for the appropriate product version. &lt;BR /&gt;6. Select the appropriate platform. &lt;BR /&gt;7. Click Download. &lt;BR /&gt;You can ccheck for all the appropriate options in the DRAG boxes there.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;bcoz, u have to input Hp Itanium, PA-RISC (34 bit ya 64 bit e.t.c also.</description>
