    <description>Usually you get this when a disk in a mirrored set goes bad.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;I would suggest you check all the disks in VG00 and if one is bad, get it replaced.</description>

      <description>Dear Sirs;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;We received the below alert from out alert monitoring system:&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Logical volume /dev/vg00/lvol5 has STALE extents&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;We are using hpux 11.00.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Can anyone explain what this message means and how to fix this ?&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Thanks,&lt;BR /&gt;Shiv</description>

      <description>It means that some of the extents are out of date -- usually caused by a disk failure or temporary loss of connectivity. Execute vgsync /dev/vg00 and then use lvdisplay -v /dev/vg00/lvol5 to examine the extents. Good extents are "current".</description>

      <description>You almost surely have a bad disk.  Suggest you contact HP to get it replaced.</description>

      <description>hi shiv,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;you can run stm (in graphics mode) to check the status of you disk.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;if there are any further alert, immediately replace the disk&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;regards&lt;BR /&gt;yogeeraj</description>
